Hello! My name is Jeanny, pronounced like jen-knee, and this is my blog! I am starting this blog to help out other individuals like me who are in college, recent grads, and young talent. My mission for this blog is to help out others with regards to college and marketing. I figured this is the best place to share my ideas, advice, and insight as a young Latina professional.
Why should you read this blog and not others?
I was a very active and involved student during my time at College of the Canyons and California State University, Northridge. You can read more about my experience on my site here. With all my knowledge and experience, I believe that I can help the next set of students and young talent achieve their goals in whatever they want to accomplish.
How would I describe myself?
Girlboss – hands down. I would always remind myself during college that I am a girlboss to keep pushing through my work. Sometimes I would feel overwhelmed because I did a lot in college, but by calling myself this, it helped because it made me believe in myself. Also, because I would continuously call myself this, others thought it fit too, which is pretty awesome.
What motivates me?
Challenge motivates me because I have always been scared of it. For the longest time, I was always scared of trying because I didn’t want to fail. When I found out that I needed an associate in accounting to transfer, I was so scared because I didn’t understand it. I actually got a D on my first accounting test and that really was what motivated me to get myself together and just go for it in any situation. Since community college, I just seek being challenged. I always say yes now because I want to learn as much as possible. I know that I won’t become an expert in every single thing, but I do want to become a brand strategist one day soon!

Currently, I am looking for jobs since I graduated about two weeks ago. I figured I should start my own online portfolio, but instead of just showcasing all my work I could also provide valuable insight to others.
