In Spring 2018, I was elected as VP of Communications for the Matador American Marketing Association chapter. One of my main goals for this position was to bring membership value to our members. Dues for this organization are $100, and therefore, I thought that through my position, I could do that with the website. I created member-only content with my director, Stephanie Tran. Together we brainstormed what could be added to the site that could drive website traffic, as well as bring value. We added student resources, job opportunities, previous guest speaker presentations, firm-tour sign-ups, and information about the American Marketing Association International Collegiate Conference. We had members create their own accounts, and we verified their membership for them to gain access to the member-only content.
